The spark plug shaft seal is mainly used to seal the gap between the spark plug guide and the camshaft cover to prevent pressure leakage in the combustion chamber and ensure the normal operation of the engine. It has two main functions: one is to prevent pressure leakage in the combustion chamber, and the other is to prevent engine oil from entering the combustion chamber to keep the combustion chamber clean.
The spark plug shaft seal consists of three parts: the sealing lip, the spring and the shell. The sealing lip is responsible for close contact with the rotating shaft to form a seal; the spring is used to provide preload to ensure that the sealing lip fits tightly on the shaft surface; the shell is used to install and fix the seal.
