Oil Seal Production Process

1. Material preparation:

Material selection: Commonly used materials include EPDM, FKM, silicone rubber, etc. Choose the appropriate material according to the working environment and requirements of the oil seal.

Material mixing: Use a rubber mixer to mix the base rubber with various additives (such as reinforcing agents, plasticizers, antioxidants and UV inhibitors) to ensure that the material has the required physical and chemical properties.

2. Mold design:

3D modeling: Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create a three-dimensional model of the oil seal to ensure accurate dimensions.

Mold processing: Process the mold according to the design drawings, usually made of metal materials to improve durability and molding accuracy.

3. Molding:

Injection molding: Heat the mixed rubber material to a fluid state, then inject it into the mold, and solidify it after cooling.

Press molding: Put the material into the mold and shape it by heating and pressurizing it. It is suitable for oil seals with larger or more complex shapes.

4. Post-processing:

Cutting: Remove excess material generated during the molding process to ensure that the shape and size of the oil seal meet the standards.

Grinding and finishing: Grind the surface of the oil seal to remove flaws and roughness and ensure a smooth sealing surface.

Heat treatment: Heat treatment is sometimes performed to enhance the performance and durability of the material.

5. Quality inspection:

Visual inspection: Check whether there are obvious defects on the surface of the oil seal, such as bubbles, cracks, etc.

Dimension inspection: Use calipers and other measuring tools to confirm that the size of the oil seal meets the design requirements.

Performance testing: Test the oil seal for oil resistance, temperature resistance and sealing performance to ensure its reliability in actual use.
