Product Description:
Silicone rubber O-rings, or VMQ for short, are a versatile rubber material suitable for use in a variety of industries, such as waterproof housings, automotive and medical equipment. These O-rings are favored for their wide temperature range, weather resistance, good compression rebound and electrical properties. They are particularly used in the electrical industry, automotive, aerospace, food and beverage, and medical and pharmaceutical equipment.
Features:
Temperature Range: Silicone rubber O-rings have a standard temperature range from -175°F (approximately -118°C) to 450°F (approximately 232°C) when tested in dry air. Temperature ranges in actual applications may vary.
Hardness: Typically hardness ranges from 50 Shore A to 80 Shore A, with most silicone rubber O-rings having a hardness of 60 Shore A or 70 Shore A.
Sizes and Specifications: Silicone rubber O-ring sizes and specifications can vary greatly depending on application needs. Whether it's metric or imperial sizes, we can produce them in a variety of sizes. Please see our O-ring size chart or contact us to discuss sizes not listed.
Color: While the standard color is rust, different colors can be customized for other application needs, including high-visibility colors.
Application areas:
car engine
Cross-contamination prevention in the food and beverage industry
Pump
semiconductor
Dust and water resistant
Precautions for use:
Due to their mechanical properties, VMQ O-rings are not suitable for dynamic sealing operations and are only recommended for static applications. VMQ O-rings are ideal in static applications that require a wide temperature range, water or dust resistance.

1. Introduction to O-Ring Safety in Combustible EnvironmentsIn industries where flammable gases, vapours or combustible liquids are handled, the seal systems must be robust, reliable and safe. The humble O-ring may appear a minor component, yet in combustible environments its failure can trigger lea
O-rings are critical sealing components widely used in automotive, aerospace, hydraulic, and food processing industries. Their sealing integrity directly affects the operational safety and service lifespan of equipment. However, material aging is a persistent challenge that leads to O-ring hardening
